A Christmas Trilogy

This is probably our last blog post for 2010 (look for another redesigned Hollywood Four again in 2011). As we have done in most year's past, we again celebrated Christmas three times this year. First we waited for Santa to visit us in Ohio; then we traveled to Brighton, MI for Christmas with Mom's side of the family; then we traveled to Big Rapids, MI for Christmas with Dad's side of the family. Of course, the big beneficiaries of celebrating Christmas three times are Abby and Andrew. Here are our Christmas highlights. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday Andrew (Again)

Even though Andrew's 11th birthday was August 7, he never had a chance to celebrate it with his local buddies. So yesterday he had six of his friends over for a swimming and video game sleepover party ... and here are the highlights.

Happy Birthday Andrew

Today Andrew turns 11 years old. Earlier this year, I wrote poem for Andrew for a school project he had to complete (he needed family members to write something about him). In honor of his birthday, here is that poem coupled with some photographs of young Mr. Frederick.

Also, click here for a look at Andrew's 10th birthday party and click here for a photographic tribute on Andrew's 9th birthday party.

Father's Day

As customary, Dad enjoyed breakfast in bed this morning (blueberry waffles) in celebration of Father's Day. As part of the ritual, he also received is annual Father's Day Book with updated drawings from Abby and Andrew (see video below). Then it was off to Andrew's Hockey practice followed up with some leisurely activity around Lake Frogerick.

Memorial Day Weekend

The Hollywood Four had another busy Memorial Day Weekend. Most of our fun centered around Lake Frogerick, including the re-launch of "Kevin" (our floating trampoline), but also included Hockey practice; Irish Dancing at the Akron Feis on Saturday; and Irish Dancing at Cleveland Feis on Sunday. Andrew and Dad went to see Iron Man 2 Saturday morning (seen vintage H4 Iron Man) before Andrew went to a birthday sleepover Saturday night (he got very sun burned playing in his friend's pool). Sunday evening we grilled and Monday morning we worked around the house. Now we're just waiting for the thunderstorms to roll in.
