Baseball Begins

Three of the past four years Andrew has played church-league baseball. This year he made the move to the Medina Youth Baseball Association. Based on his birth date, he was slotted for the 9-10 league and landed a roster spot with the Orioles. Tonight was his first game of the season. The team showed some rust getting off to a slow, 1-8 run deficit. However, they turned up the heat and capped the game with an exciting 2 run last inning to win the game 10-9. Andrew had a strikeout, walk, fly out, stolen base and a run scored. He played second base and outfield. His next game is Friday night in which he is slotted to pitch 2 innings.

Double the Destruction

Andrew belt tested on last night, again, as part of his spiritual journey through the art of Taekwondo. This test was his ninth level test on way to his Second Degree Black Belt (see more on the belt system). Tonight was the first time he was tested on using a weapon (knife) and the first time he broke boards two different ways (other than when he broke three boards and a concrete block for his First Degree Black Belt test, that is).

Happy Birthday Abby!

Today my baby girl turns 14 years old! My how times flies. This year she is in New York shopping with Mom and her cousin Emily. However, here are a couple of vintage Hollywood Four memories of Abby:
